DAVE Jones, the man who led Wolves into the Premier League for the first time, is to honour a booking back in the city.
Jones has recently been handed the Hartlepool United job which raised question marks over his appearance at the Cleveland Arms Sports Pub on Stow Heath Lane on March 30.
But he has confirmed he will still appear alongside the club’s all-time record goalscorer Steve Bull at what promises to be an unmissable night for fans of the Molineux club.
Event organiser Will Adamson said: “We have been in touch with Dave to check this over but we are delighted he has agreed to honour the booking.
“Since we announced the date, we have been inundated with people wanting to see Dave and Bully at a special night like this but we haven’t put tickets on sale until we were sure about Dave.
“I can now confirm tickets are available from the Cleveland Arms direct or from their website.”
The event comes hot on the heels of a successful night at the venue with 2003 promotion heroes Matt Murray, Paul Butler and Lee Naylor in front of a packed crowd.
“We all know Matt is talented on the microphone, but Paul and Lee were excellent too,” said Adamson.
“Throughout the night you could hear a pin drop. Their stories from the dressing room, and summer holidays in particular, were both fascinating and funny.
“We would like to place on record our thanks to Matt, Lee and Paul for coming along and entertaining the audience.”
TICKETS for an evening with Dave Jones, with special guest Steve Bull, are priced at £12. A VIP package for £30 is available but most have already gone, to include a buffet, picture with Dave and Steve signed on the night, priority seating and early access.
