SUPERBIKE superstar John McGuinness will make a first-ever appearance at a Wolverhampton sports bar in November.
McGuinness, winner of a staggering 23 Isle of Man TT titles, will be on hand to meet fans and answer questions on Thursday November 23.
He follows the likes of football celebrities Bruce Grobbelaar and Steve Bull, Snooker’s John Parrott, Darts legends Phil Taylor and Wayne Mardle and Speedway world champions Tai Woffinden, Nicki Pedersen, Ole Olsen and Hans Nielsen at the venue.
Organisers are thrilled to land the Morecambe racer, who is currently in the early stages of recovery after suffering multiple injuries in practice for the NW200 last week which rules him out of this year’s TT.
Cleveland Arms spokesman Will Adamson said: “We are proud and honoured to have John coming here, it’s a major feather in the cap not just for us but for the city of Wolverhampton.
“Naturally all our thoughts at the moment are with John as he starts the long road to recovery from his broken leg, ribs and back injuries and I’m sure thousands of well wishers around the world are thinking of him.
“He’s a massive name, but also a normal down to earth guy who was very keen to join us and do an evening like this.
“We’ve hosted lots of nights like this down the years, raised a lot of money for charity too, and we are expecting a full house for this one.”
Tickets are just £10 for standard seats and standing, but a £30 VIP package is available (restricted to 40) which includes 6pm entry, priority seating, a picture with John printed and signed on the night and a buffet.
They’re available from the Cleveland Arms direct on Stow Heath Lane or by calling 01902 451021 or online at clevelandarms.com via paypal.
Meanwhile tickets are still on sale for the special evening with Liverpool legend Alan Kennedy and Manchester United ace David May at the Cleveland Arms on June 8.
These are also on sale from the venue, website or by phone.
Sports Talk Events are bringing a series of special nights to the Cleveland Arms Sports Bar in Wolverhampton that will encompass the stars of darts, motocross, speedway and football. William Adamson and Nigel Pearson went through what's coming up.
