WORLD Champion Tai Woffinden will meet his fans at a special event in Wolverhampton next month – just days before he flies out to Australia.
Woffinden, who currently sits third in the world standings with three rounds of the Grand Prix remaining, will be live on stage at the Cleveland Arms sports pub on Wednesday, October 12.
It means a bumper 48-hours for speedway fans in the city as Wolverhampton host their Olympique individual event the previous night.
It’s the fourth successive year Woffinden has appeared at the popular venue on Stow Heath Lane – and for the first time he will take questions from the audience about his season as champion, plus life in general.
He said: “I like to do this event if my diary allows and I’m pleased to be coming back to the Cleveland Arms, they always make me feel welcome and it’s great to mix with my fans.
“I’m happy to talk about anything, so it’s over to the fans, get thinking what questions you want to ask me!
“It’s the only date I could do before going to Australia so I’m looking forward to it, should be a cool night with everyone.”
Standard tickets cost £10 but there are also VIP tickets available for £25 which includes early entry, a picture with Tai printed and signed on the night, buffet and priority seating.
The show will start at 8pm but doors open at 6pm for VIPs and 7pm for standard tickets.
Tickets are available online sportstalkevents.co.uk or from the Cleveland Arms direct, in person or by calling 01902 451021.
*TAI takes his place in the Wolverhampton team tonight (Monday) as they race their final regular league meeting of the season against Coventry at Monmore. The Parrys International Wolves will know their play-off opponents by the end of the week.
